In a growth perspective Bajio area of the country has shown that the expansion of industrial parks has
moved to the big cities of northern Mexico.
While in the Bajio growth rate in industrial complex was 10 percent in the first half of 2012, in
the north (Chihuahua, Ciudad Ju rez &iaacute;, Matamoros, Mexicali, Monterrey, Nogales, Nuevo Laredo,
Reynosa, Saltillo and Tijuana) on recovery was only 0.35%
With information from the Ministry of Economy, El Bajio industrial area is now the fastest growing of all Latin
America. In 2012, the four states that comprise the region captured billion 419.2 million dollars of foreign direct investment
(FDI), equivalent to 11 percent of total resources that attracted the country as a whole.
